Mayfield Fund's first investment in Tejas Networks India Limited
Mayfield Fund, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital fund, made its first investment in India by investing in Tejas Networks India Limited. Tejas sells optical networking equipment to Indian telecommunications companies, and has pioneered the development of cost effective, software-differentiated, next generation SDH/SONET products that enable telecom carriers to converge traditional voice-based networks with the new data-dominated networks. Other investors in Tejas include Sycamore Networks Inc., Gururaj Deshpande, Battery Ventures and Intel Capital.
