Generative AI & Disruption
Emerging Legal & Ethical Challenges
May 17, 2023

Generative AI (GAI) continues to be the next big disruption not only for businesses but for human creativity as well.

GAI comes in various forms with outputs ranging from text, images, sounds, videos and even 3D objects. The sheer power and scale of GAI has created significant opportunities for businesses and individuals alike through automation and efficiency. As with any ground-breaking technology, GAI asks its fair share of questions ranging from those relating to intellectual property ownership to content regulation and accountability to antitrust concerns.

In our most recent paper titled “Generative AI & Disruption: Emerging Legal & Ethical Challenges”, we have looked into some of the key use cases of GAI, while examining these questions at length from a legal, regulatory and policy perspective.

As the sector grows, it is important that stakeholders looking to employ, invest in, or otherwise get involved with GAI consider these questions before making key decisions. NDA’s research in this sector is ongoing, and we will continue to track this space with keen interest.

As always, we are happy to discuss these issues at greater length. Do reach out to our team at artificial intelligence. nda@nishith desai.com.
