Speakers

CAMERON MCCOY Underwriter – Beazley (London, United Kingdom)

Cameron is an experienced London-based underwriter within Beazley’s M&A team, with a primary focus on Indian warranty and indemnity insurance risks. Prior to joining Beazley in 2020, Cameron worked as an M&A underwriter at another major insurer, and as a corporate lawyer at Clifford Chance and Baker McKenzie. Cameron has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons I) from the University of Sydney.

 

MANDIRA GUPTA Managing Director – Marsh India Insurance Brokers Private Limited (Mumbai, India)

Mandira joined Marsh’s Private Equity and M&A practice in 2014 to lead the Transactional Risk insurance for India, with a focus on Warranty and Indemnity Insurance and Tax Indemnity Insurance. Prior to joining Marsh, Mandira had to her credit 8 years of experience in investment banking during which she has successfully led transactions aggregating over USD 150 million. Before joining Marsh, Mandira was heading the consumer practice at Cipher Capital for over three years, before which she was a senior banker with the UK headquartered boutique investment bank Langham Capital focused on cross-border transactions. Mandira holds Bachelor of Economics (Hons.), University of Delhi, India and Masters of Science in Financial and Business Economics, University of Essex, United Kingdom.

 

ALEXANDER HARMER M&A Manager, Emerging Markets – AIG (London, United Kingdom)

Alex Harmer is M&A Manager for Emerging Markets at AIG. Based in London, Alex underwrites Warranty and Indemnity insurance policies for transactions based in Emerging Markets. AIG Emerging Markets includes Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, India and Latin America. Alex joined AIG in his current role in July 2019, prior to which Alex has held various roles at insurance firms, both in London and Sydney, underwriting Warranty and Indemnity insurance policies across Europe, Asia and Australia. Alex has also held roles as a senior underwriter in financial lines, including underwriting insurance policies for professional indemnity, directors and officers liability and cyber insurance. Alex has a Bachelor of Economics from Durham University in the United Kingdom.

 

HARSHITA SRIVASTAVA Co-Head, M&A – Nishith Desai Associates (Mumbai, India)

Harshita Srivastava is a core member of the Private Equity and M&A Group at NDA. With her specialization in public offerings, mergers and strategic acquisitions, she focuses on complex cross border and domestic private equity transactions. She advises major funds and global corporations on overseas investments and in formulating and implementing structures from a legal, tax and regulatory perspective. She also has extensive experience in handling business transfers (both slump sale and asset sale) and court approved mergers/ demergers, along with strategic business takeovers. She also heads the Warranty & Indemnity Insurance Practice Group at NDA and has been involved in advising international insurance companies in the legal underwriting process for large India-focused deals.

 

Radhika Parikh Leader, W&I Insurance Practice – Nishith Desai Associates (Mumbai, India)

Radhika Parikh is a Leader in the Warranty & Indemnity Insurance Practice Group at NDA and has extensive experience advising offshore insurance companies with their legal underwriting for India-focused transactions. She is also a Member of the Fund Formation practice at Nishith Desai Associates with a strong focus on PE / VC funds, and has advised both international and domestic clients on legal, regulatory and tax issues, and best practices for fund governance and fund economics. She also heads NDA’s GIFT City office.
