Despite the large amount of revenue that a successful film is likely to bring in, the making of a film is in and of itself an expensive art, requiring coordination and cooperation amongst numerous people through the several stages of production. In this chapter, we have briefly explained the process of film production and have outlined certain basic differences in the processes followed in Bollywood and Hollywood.
