Friends,
Nishith Desai has been a true pioneer of international tax law in India
since 1977. Not only did he run a pioneering practice of international taxation in India, his research-based approach to the practice has also been responsible for the dissemination of knowledge through the large body of literature he and his associates have generated in the course of his career. He is consistently ranked as the Most Innovative Lawyer in Asia by Financial Times, London.
On the occasion of his 70th birthday on 10 March 2020, we presented him a book -
Essays on International Taxation: Liber Amicorum* Nishith Desai
- with contributions from 18 scholars from India, Europe and the US.

Whilst the COVID-19 crisis forced us to cancel the conference we had organised to felicitate Nishith, we have decided to take advantage of his latest innovation - the
cCep platform - to launch the International Tax Series. In this series we shall like to present our papers every Monday and Wednesday from 20 th April, 2020 for about 4-5 weeks.
We, the authors, invite you to join us for this series of discussions on International Taxation to commemorate Nishith Desai's remarkable career.
