Nishith Desai Launches Boston Desk, Third U.S Branch

Indian law firm Nishith
Desai Associates announced the launch of a
desk in Boston, marking its third branch in the U.S.,
with a view to deepen its engagement across the rapidly
growing U.S.–India deep-tech corridor.
The desk will be led by futurist and techno-policy strategist,
Chintan Vaishnav, who
joined the firm in August. He brings experience
as mission director of Atal Innovation Mission at NITI
Aayog and chair of the Startup20 Engagement Group during
India's G20 Presidency. The MIT PhD will guide AI
governance and strategy consulting engagements.
“Our focus will be on helping clients anticipate
emerging regulatory frameworks, harness cross-border
opportunities, and navigate the evolving U.S.–India
deep-tech landscape,” said Dr. Vaishnav.
NDA has offices in Silicon Valley and New York. The
firm recently
advised a coalition of venture capital and
private equity firms from the U.S. and India on the
launch of the
India Deep Tech Investment Alliance (IDTA)
with a $1 billion commitment to back deep
tech startups in India.
Located at the Cambridge Innovation Center, the Boston
desk aims to serve startups, venture investors,
global enterprises, and research institutions working
in artificial
intelligence, life sciences, climate technology,
advanced manufacturing, and other high-growth sectors.

technology, and entrepreneurship,” said founder
Nishith Desai. “Establishing a presence at
the heart of this ecosystem strengthens the bridge between
the United States and India and reinforces our commitment
to supporting innovation communities across both regions.”
In the coming months, NDA will host executive roundtables,
policy dialogues, and collaborative research initiatives
across Greater Boston, bringing together leaders from
academia, industry, investment, and government to accelerate
high-impact opportunities, the firm said in a statement.
